TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions outline the arrangements, responsibilities, and expectations involved in booking CJ Drinks. They’re designed to ensure everything is clear from the outset, helping us deliver a smooth, professional, and enjoyable experience for your event, so you can relax and enjoy the occasion with confidence 

1. Glassware Hire & Breakages

Glassware is available for hire, subject to availability. Reasonable breakages are

considered part of normal event use and are accounted for in our pricing. However, in the

event of excessive breakage, loss, or damage beyond reasonable use, replacement costs

may be charged. Any such charges will be discussed with the client and invoiced

accordingly.

2. Service Location and Travel Costs

Based in Christchurch, we offer services throughout New Zealand. For events held outside of

Christchurch Metro, the client is responsible for all reasonable travel and accommodation costs

associated with providing the service. This may include (but is not limited to) fuel, equipment

transport, accommodation, and vehicle or trailer-related costs. All such costs will be

discussed and agreed upon prior to confirming your booking.

3. Photography and Social Media Release

We kindly request access to any professional or relevant photographs and/or videos taken at

your event. By booking our services, you agree to allow CJ Drinks to use these images for

advertising and promotional purposes, including social media and marketing materials. If you

have any concerns or prefer not to share images, please notify us in advance. Every

reasonable effort will be made to credit photographers and videographers in social media posts.

Such credit is conditional upon the relevant names and preferred credit details being provided

to us prior to publication.

4. Custom Requests & Intellectual Property

As part of providing bespoke services, Chris Jamieson may create original cocktail recipes,

designs, or tailored drink concepts specifically for your event. These creations are the

intellectual property of CJ Drinks and remain the sole property of Chris Jamieson. They are

provided exclusively for use at the agreed event and may not be reproduced, distributed,

sold, or otherwise used for any other purpose without prior written consent. This includes, but is not

limited to, written recipes, method instructions, ingredient combinations, presentation designs,

and any other materials or concepts developed by Chris Jamieson as part of bespoke

services.  This clause does not apply to classic or widely available cocktail recipes that are generally

known and accessible to the public.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the event date will incur a cancellation fee of

25% of the total booking cost. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event will incur a

cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking cost. This policy is in place to cover preparation,

travel, and potential loss of opportunity due to late notice. If you need to cancel or

reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate

where possible.

6. Alcohol Provision

Alcohol is included in the total booking price (excluding weddings), based on the agreed event

details at the time of booking. This includes guest numbers, service duration, and selected

cocktail menu. Should there be any changes to these details, pricing may be adjusted

accordingly to reflect updated requirements. Any changes will always be discussed and

approved prior to the event. For weddings, alcohol provision is quoted separately based on

your specific needs and preferences.

7. Pricing Disclaimer

Advertised prices serve as a guide only and may vary depending on the specific requirements of

your event, including customisations, guest numbers, location, and additional services

requested. A personalised quote will be provided once event details have been confirmed.

8.Save the Date Booking Fee

A non-refundable “Save the Date” booking fee is required to secure your event date. In

the event of cancellation by the client for any reason, this fee is non-refundable.

● For standard events, the Save the Date fee is $50.00.

● Weddings: Save the Date fee $100.00.

This fee reserves the date exclusively for the client and prevents it from being allocated to

another booking. Wedding bookings require a higher Save the Date fee due to the increased

level of commitment involved. Wedding dates are typically booked well in advance, are less

flexible to reschedule, and often prevent CJ Drinks from accepting multiple other events on

the same day. Securing a wedding date therefore represents a greater opportunity cost and

planning commitment.

Until the Save the Date fee is received, the date remains available and CJ Drinks reserves

the right to accept alternative bookings. Once paid, the date is confirmed and the fee will be

deducted from the final balance of your booking.

By paying the Save the Date fee, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed

to these Terms & Conditions.

9. Additional Bar Staff

Additional bar staff are charged at $55 per hour, per staff member. Staffing requirements are

determined based on event size, guest numbers, and service demands. The service provider

reserves the right to recommend additional staff to ensure safe and efficient service. All staffing

requirements will be discussed with and approved by the client prior to the event, and

confirmed as part of the final booking details.

10. Wedding Service Fee

The standard Wedding Service Fee is NZD $1,850 for weddings of up to 100 guests

and includes up to 6 consecutive hours of service.

This fee includes the Standard Wedding Bar Package as advertised at the time of

booking, together with two (2) professional bar staff and the inclusions outlined in your

accepted quotation.

Where guest numbers exceed 100, an additional service fee of NZD $25 per additional guest

will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.  Additional staffing or equipment may be required

based on final guest numbers, venue logistics, service duration, or event requirements and will

be quoted separately where applicable.

Wedding quotations are individually tailored and based on the agreed guest numbers, service

duration, beverage selection, venue logistics, staffing requirements, and any additional services requested at the time of booking.

Your accepted quotation forms part of this Agreement and confirms the services, inclusions,

and pricing for your event. Should any of these details change prior to your wedding, the

quotation may be revised accordingly. Any changes to pricing will be discussed with and

approved by you before your event. Where applicable, additional staffing, glassware hire,

alcohol supply, travel, accommodation, or other event-specific requirements will be quoted

separately and clearly itemised in your quotation. No additional charges will be applied without

your prior knowledge and written approval.

11. Payment Terms

A non-refundable Save the Date booking fee is required to secure your booking, as outlined in Clause 8. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the scheduled event date, unless an alternative arrangement has been expressly agreed to in writing by CJ Drinks.

An official invoice will be issued by CJ Drinks, and payment must be made in accordance with the payment instructions and due date specified on that invoice.

Where a booking is made less than seven (7) calendar days before the event, full payment is required by the deadline specified by CJ Drinks and must be received before the service is provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

CJ Drinks reserves the right to withhold services where the required payment has not been received by the applicable deadline. Any cancellation or termination arising from non-payment will be handled in accordance with the booking agreement and applicable law.

Any additional services, staffing, or other costs agreed to after the original invoice has been issued may be invoiced separately, with payment due by the date specified on the relevant invoice.

Payment of the Save the Date booking fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Payment of the remaining balance confirms the client’s commitment to the agreed booking and services.

12. CJ Drinks Brand & Service Delivery

CJ Drinks operates as a mobile bar and beverage service business, delivering events through its brand, service standards, and team of trained hospitality professionals.

While Chris Jamieson personally delivers the majority of CJ Drinks events, a booking with CJ Drinks is a booking for the services provided by the CJ Drinks business and not necessarily for the exclusive personal attendance of Chris Jamieson, unless his personal attendance has been expressly agreed to in writing as a specific condition of the booking.

CJ Drinks may assign suitably qualified, trained, and experienced team members to deliver the agreed services where required. This may include circumstances involving illness, unforeseen unavailability, scheduling requirements, or other operational considerations.

Any team member assigned to an event will be expected to uphold the service standards, professionalism, and quality associated with the CJ Drinks brand. CJ Drinks remains responsible for delivering the services agreed upon in the accepted quotation.

Where Chris Jamieson’s personal attendance has been expressly agreed to in writing and he subsequently becomes unavailable, CJ Drinks will communicate with the client as soon as reasonably practicable to discuss an appropriate alternative arrangement.

The substitution of personnel will not, by itself, alter the agreed scope of services or entitle either party to change the agreed price. Any material changes to the agreed services will be discussed with the client in advance and confirmed in writing.
